We started this project by gutting this 1980s era office building to expose the beautiful historic bones of the structure. Arched brick window openings, riveted steel beams, terrazzo, original brick masonry walls and the original bank vault were all hidden for decades. They became the foundation for the Lucille build out.
The basement was converted into a surprising lounge and bar in the original bank vault. The space also houses a prep kitchen and storage area. The main floor was outfitted with an accordion-type exterior windows that can be opened completely to allow the outside in. Reclaimed materials and a pewter bar top adorn the first floor bar and restaurant area. A new concrete deck was added to complete the second floor mezzanine area.
