The main structural components of the Waunakee Community Bank building are the center dark wood glu-lam columns and beams with a contrasting, light-colored tongue and groove wood deck with a lot of glass. The glass provides wonderful views to bring in the natural light. It also opens up the space so employees and clients have the opportunity to interact. The exterior of the building has a unique wood panel and complementary metal panel accents with multi-level roof lines, which gives this single-story building some depth and interest.
The building had to compliment the Killkenny development in Waunakee and the clients wanted something special that would be welcoming, which the design and construction delivers. The far west end of the lobby also serves as a flex space which can be used for small classes, lectures or entertaining.
